New Bedford – Manuel C. Pinheiro age 86 died Monday August 30, 2010 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. Manuel was the loved husband of Jenuina (De Jesus) Pinheiro of New Bedford. Survivors also include his sons Jose M. Pinheiro and his wife Ivone of New Bedford, and Carlos A. Pinheiro and his wife Linda of Somerset, grandchildren Sanya, Rebecca, Natasha, and Melissa, great granddaughter Alisia, 2 sisters Maria Garcia Cardoso and Fernanda Cardoso, his nephews John and Victor Pinheiro and niece Fatima Torres.
Mr. Pinheiro was born in Faial Açores, Portugal and has lived in New Bedford area for 40 Years. He was the son of the late Maria C. (Cardoso) and Joao Cardoso Pinheiro. He worked as a Machine Operator at Cornell Dubilier. He was a Whaler when he lived in the Azores.
Mr. Pinheiros’ funeral will be at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., with his Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Visiting hours will be prior to his Mass from 8- 10 A.M. on Thursday. Burial will take place at Rural Cemetery
