Carolyn J. Harrigan of Brookline, formerly of Boston, passed away on May 28, 2010. She was 90 years old.
Born in Canaan, NH, Carolyn was a graduate of Newton High School. She was the former Assistant Director of the Harvard Business School Fund and Director of Development at the Children's Museum in Boston for 12 years. She later went to work at the Cambridge Friends School from 1981 to 1983 to raise money for a new wing. Following her time in Cambridge, Carolyn was the Director of Development at the New England Conservatory until her retirement in 1985.
Carolyn was the beloved daughter of the late Lena F. (Allen) and Benjamin F. Harrigan. Loving sister of the late Betty and Edward Harrigan. She is survived by her cousins Rosalie Davis of NJ and David Webster of NH.
Carolyn's Memorial Service will be held Sunday June 13, 2010 at 3 p.m. at the Arlington St. Unitarian Universalist Church 351 Boylston St. BOSTON. Donations in Carolyn’s memory may be made to the Church or to the Boston Public Library 700 Boylston St. Boston, MA 02116.
A private interment service will be held at a later date.
