Germaine Pincince
February 09, 2010
Germaine Pincince, wife of the late Edmond F. Pincince died early Tuesday morning with family at her side, at St. Antoine Residence in N. Smithfield. Until recently she lived in her own home on Rodman St. where she had lived for fifty-seven years. There she raised two sons, Andre E. Pincince currently of the same address and John (Jean) G. Pincince of Lincolnville, ME.

Germaine loved her family deeply and loved to cook for them and others. Her pies were renowned among those lucky enough to have tasted them. Her husband often said jokingly, that he married her for her blueberry pies. Among her many other skills were gardening, canning, sewing, macrame, knitting, needlepoint, crochet, and lacework appliques.

Her sense of humor and twinkling brown eyes brought smiles and laughter to many. Germaine's singing and acting abilities were showcased at the old St. Louis Parish Hall Soirees, where she and her brother performed duets that brought the house down several times.

Along with her sons, she deeply loved her granddaughters, Lisa Shawyer of Oklahoma, Jennifer Spearman and Elizabeth Pincince both of Woonsocket, and her great grandchildren, Kodie Spearman, Nathan, and Katelyn Pincince and Sarah Christian Shawyer. She was also the sister of the late Romeo and Leo Berthiaume.

Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. Visiting hours are Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
