Emily Gail Sigmon Peay, 72, Clarksville, died Monday, February 1, 2010, at her residence. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Madison Street United Methodist Church with Dr. Lenoir Culbertson officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 2 at Madison Street United Methodist Church and from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday, February 3 at the church. Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born September 18, 1937 in Harriman, TN. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank Suddreth Sigmon and Ella Browder Irwin Sigmon, and a brother Frank Sigmon who died in infancy. She was a member of Madison Street United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and was a special person to all her family and friends. Survivors include her husband John H. Peay, three sons, John Jr. (Jane), Frank (Vianne), and Evans (Lori). She is also survived by six grandchildren, Hampton and Elizabeth Peay; Flannery Peay; and Ross, John Austin, and Logan Peay. Pallbearers will be Bill Howard, David Morton, Bill Kleeman, Jack Turner, Jack Miller, John Wright, and Frank Wilson.
