Andy Shaw, age 48, of Oxford, MS passed away on August 31, 2009 in Coffeeville, MS. He was born in Memphis, TN on June 8, 1961 to Guy Dale Shaw and Nancy Winders Shaw, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS. Andy was an avid Ole Miss Rebel fan, and had been co-captain of the Ole Miss Rebel football team during his college years. He was a four-year letterman with the University of MS, a member of the M Club, and a member of the Gamma IOTA Sigma Honors fraternity. He worked as an independent insurance agent serving the north MS area.
Visitation will be at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 from 5 until 8 PM. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 3, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Water Valley with Dr. Randy Bain and Bro. Gary Richardson presiding. Burial will follow in Harbour Cemetery in Coffeeville, MS. Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Dalton, Kenny Hooper, Jimmy Maynor, Danny Robertson, Steve Edwards, Don Larson, Ken Crain, J. B. Purvis, and Barrett Larson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bubba Shaw, Eugene Shaw, Steve McClusky, Mike Wall, Billy Dean Fielder, Michael Misita, Andy Misita, Brian Kennedy, Kevin Horan, and Keith Heyward. Survivors include his wife, Susie Misita Shaw of Oxford, MS; a daughter, Austin Marie Shaw of Oxford, MS; a sister, Marty Shaw of Pensacola, FL; his mother, Nancy Winders Shaw of Water Valley, MS; his father, Guy Dale Shaw of Coffeeville, MS; and his grandmother, Mattie Dawkins Shaw of Coffeeville, MS. He was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Adele Shaw. | ||||
