Manchester-Rita M. Charette, 91, died April 4, 2009 at Bedford Hills Health Care in Bedford after a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on February 19, 1918 the daughter of Michael and Yvonne (Pichette) McCarthy and had been a lifelong resident of this city.
She had worked for New England Chemical , Lafayette Oil and had been a foster grandparent for Easter Seals.
Members of her family include 3 sisters, Mary Radziewicz, Catherine Cadorette both of Manchester and Shirley Sillings of Colorado and several nieces and nephews.
IN HER LIFE:She also leaves 3 special friends, Mary Dobens, Kelly Dobens and Georgette Nichols.
SERVICES:Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 PM at the J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.. A prayer service will be held at 4 PM after calling hours.
