Obituary

Rita A. Paré, 87, of Manchester died December 28, 2008 at her home with her family by her side after a valiant one-year battle with cancer.
Born on May 6, 1921, in Manchester, she was the daughter of William and Glorianna (Boisvert) Pichette. She was educated in the local school system.
Prior to retirement in 1984, she had been employed by Myrna Shoe Company in Manchester. Previously, she had worked many years at Dorson-Fleischer Shoe Company.
She married Clayton Paré in St. Theresa Church on August 8, 1942, and resided in Manchester after he returned from serving in WWII. In their retirement together, Rita and her husband spent many winters in Largo, Florida. She enjoyed shopping for bargains and calling or visiting her many friends. She was a great cook and especially proud of her family. She loved to make others laugh and be happy. She will always be remembered as a caring woman with great vitality, strength, and humor.
Mrs. Paré was a devout Catholic and communicant of St. Joseph Cathedral, where she was proud to have her son-in-law serve as deacon.
She was predeceased by her only sister, Theresa.
Members of her family include her husband of 66 years, Clayton Paré of Manchester; two daughters, Elaine T. (Paré) Potvin and her husband Deacon Robert Potvin, Michelle I. (Paré) Tyler and her husband Brian Tyler; seven grandchildren, Michael P. Potvin, Christine M. (Potvin) Shea, Brooke K. Tyler, Blake W. Tyler, Emma M. Tyler, Spencer C. Tyler, and Keira J. Tyler; five great-grandchildren, Austyn Shea, Caitlyn Shea, Nathan Potvin, Paige Potvin, and Grace Potvin.
Calling hours at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St, Manchester, will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 am in St. Joseph Cathedral. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd, Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VNA Hospice Program, 33 So. Commercial St., Suite 401, Manchester, NH 03101 or to St. Casimir School, 456 Union St, Manchester, NH 03103.
