Obituary

James W. Lischka. Sr., 77, of 190 Bob White Drive, Clarksville, TN, formerly of Clyman, Wisconsin, died Friday, December 12, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service Monday at Resthaven's Chapel. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Jim was born March 7, 1931 in Beaver Dam, WI., son of Alois and Anna (Cigelski) Lischka. Jim served in the Korean War 1953-1955. He married the former Ruth Nehls on November 16, 1957 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Richwood Wisconsin. He was a semi-truck driver for Aunt Nellie's Foods in Clyman, WI for 33 years until his retirement in 1993 and then he moved to Clarksville, TN. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 0189 of Watertown, Wisconsin and a member of the VFW Post 11160 of Clarksville, TN. Jim Loved to dance, play cards, tell stories and play ball with his boys. Survivors include his wife of 51 years of Clarksville, TN and his sons, James, Jr. (Karen) of Jefferson, WI; Lonnie (Donna) of Brookfield, WI; Keith (Belva) of Clyman, WI; Neal (Cheryl) of Watertown, WI; Scott (Christine) of Johnson Creek, WI; and Kerry (Tracey) of Johnson Creek, WI; seven grandchildren, Renee, Kelly, Benjamin, Abbigail, Melissa, Thomas, and Samantha; three step-grandchildren, Tiffany, Reginia, and Jacob; three brothers, Robert (Kay)Lischka, Watertown; Joseph (Ruthie) Lischka, Watertown; and Ronald (Eileen) Lischka of Beaver Dam; three sisters, Lorraine Koehler of Watertown, June (David) Gubin of Juneau and Dolores (Dennis) Gubin of Mayville; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Dennis, Two brothers, Alois, Jr, Herbert, and three sisters, Marion, Helen, and Edith.
