Raymond H. Huntley, Jr., 73, of Raymond, NH, died Monday, September 1, 2008 in the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. Mr. Huntley was born in Salem, MA on July 16, 1935, a son of the late Raymond H. and Elizabeth S. (Dennis) Huntley, Sr. He was a resident of Raymond since 1972, formerly living in Manchester and Derry, NH. Mr. Huntley was employed as a cabinetmaker for 20 years for Young Furniture in Bow, NH, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed woodworking and creating with wood.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Alice M. (Smith) Huntley of Raymond; three daughters, Deborah Carleton of Northwood, NH, Donna Fabo and Darlene Zimmermann both of Raymond; one son, Christopher Huntley of Raymond; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, June Grendron of Portland, OR, and Barbara Pohle of Lisbon, ME; several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, private burial will be in the Waterside Cemetery in Marblehead, MA. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
