Obituary

On January 28, 2008, Mr. Freeman Bone of Madison County departed this life at Huntsville Hospital. He was born on February 2, 1916 to the late Mr. Henry Preston Bone and Mrs. Mariah Hawk Bone.

Freeman was married to Mary Liza Cathey for fifty-nine years and this union eight children were born.

He professed hope in Christ at an early age and joined Hurricane Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, under the pastorship of Reverend O. D. Boone.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. Bone and daughter, Mary O. Green.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Ruby Buckner of Chicago, Illinois, Elsie Lee King of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Annie Ruth Turner (Charles) of Huntsville, Alabama, Robert F. Bone (Farilyn) of Atlanta, Georgia, John Henry Bone, Earnestine Turner (Cleatus) both of Huntsville, Alabama and Doris Jackson of Birmingham, Alabama; a son, Terrance Thompson of Huntsville, Alabama; a very loving friend, Lucy Jane Thompson of Huntsville, Alabama; a foster son, Reverend James Leslie (Mary) of Huntsville, Alabama; a special granddaughter, Barbara Ford (Anthony) of Huntsville, Alabama; three sisters-in-law: Mary Wiley of Huntsville, Alabama, Altie Edminston of Albion, Michigan and Earnestine Farris of Detroit, Michigan; thirty one grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Freeman Bone will be held Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 12:00 noon from Little Indian Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Rice officiating. Interment will be Northside Cemetery. Mr. Bone will lie in state in the church one hour prior to funeral time.
