Obituary

Methuen, Ma. – Shickery “Chick” Saba, 83 yrs, died Friday November 23, 2007 at Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill.
Mr. Saba was born and educated in Methuen, the son of Stanley and Annie Saba.
His employment began as a Cab Driver, and then a Forklift Operator with Loom Weave of Lawrence. Mr. Saba had also been employed with ITT. He was an avid vegetable gardener, and enjoyed time in Maine.
He was well known for making a large Christmas Village every year at his home.
He was the widower of Theresa (Charest) Saba, and daughters and sons-in-laws Anne Marie and her husband Robert “Bob” Letourneau of Derry, NH, and Linda and her husband George Chetson of Pelham, NH, and son Hervey and his wife Paula Roy of Methuen. One brother Stanley and his wife Lorraine Saba of Seabrook, sister-in-law Adele Saba grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and greatgreatgrandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Saba has been supported for many years by two dear friends Ray and Ralph.
He was predeceased by his daughter Barbara Birdo, granddaughter Kimberly Chetson, brothers George and Mitri Saba, and sister Sally Scott.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Friends may call on Monday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
