Obituary

Richard J. "KiKi" Conceicao, 65, of New Bedford died February 16, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Carole A. (Serrao) Conceicao.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Joseph and Anna J. (Duarte) Conceicao, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Survivors include his wife; 3 sons, Richard A. Conceicao, and his wife Susie, Brian Wiley and Roger Swire, all of New Bedford; 4 daughters, Susan Alvarez, Elisha Conceicao, Simone Conceicao and Shalee Conceicao, all of New Bedford; 3 brothers, James Duarte of Chelsea, Daniel Conceicao, and his wife Ruth "Bunny," of Acushnet and Francis "Tappy" Conceicao, and his wife Pledge, of Oklahoma; his sister, Josephine "Nana" Tyler, and her husband Haywood, of Mattapan; his aunt, Rose Almeida of New Bedford; 8 grandchildren, Nichole Conceicao, Scott Swire, Christopher Swire, Kaeya Wiley, Payton Conceicao, Jaden Conceicao, Thomas Botelho and James Botelho; his former son-in-law Pablo Alvarez of Brockton; his brother-in-law Camanche Ray of New Bedford; his sister-in-law Dolores Conceicao; close friends, Thomas, Kathy, Jimmy, Bettyann and Jerry Rogers; 23 nieces and nephews, 16 great-nieces and nephews, several cousins.
He was the brother of the late Elizabeth "Betty" Ray, Joey Conceicao, Anthony Conceicao and Paul "Kookie" Conceicao.
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 21st at 9:30 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday, February 20th from 5-9 PM.
