Anna Marino

Anna M. Marino, a retired North End restauranteur, died Sunday at Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers after a long illness. She was 64.


Anna was a life-long North Ender, daughter of the late Carlo and the late Accursia (Sclafani) Marino. She graduated from the Julia Billard School in 1960. She owned and operated two restaurants in the North End, Bernardo’s and Ristorante Carlo Marino which was located on Prince St. Anna loved her family and friends. She enjoyed her vacations on Cape Cod and always looked forward to her summer residence in West Yarmouth.


She was the sister of Genaro Moscato of Boston and the late Edward C. Marino. She was the aunt of Vincent Marino, Edward Portella and several other nieces and nephews. She was the loving cousin of Christine Mazri and Peter DeGrandis and also leaves many other cousins and devoted friends.


A funeral mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, North Square, Boston, Friday February 9th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will be private.
