Mrs. Margaret (Christman) Neil, 76, of 25 Success Street, Berlin, passed away on Thursday June 29, 2006 at the Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin. She was born in Berlin on May 1, 1929 the daughter of Arthur and Margaret (Parent) Christman and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Berlin High School with the Class of 1947. She was a City Council Member in Ward 4 for 5 years and was a member of St. Kieran Church.
Members of the family include 5 sons Michael Neil of Berlin, Robert Neil of Florida, Kenneth Neil of Hooksett, NH, Bruce Neil of Berlin and Donald Neil of Berlin; 4 daughters Maggie Ann Letellier of Berlin, Lisa Couture of Berlin, Molly Binette of Arizona and Christy Lavigne of Berlin; 2 brothers Arthur Christman of Jamestown, RI and Gerald Christman of Lakeland, FL; 20 grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth A. Neil on August 15, 2005.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 5 at 1:00 PM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin on Tuesday, July 4 from 6 to 8 PM and on Wednesday, July 5 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM prior to the funeral mass.
