Thomas J. Giampietro passed away on April 27, 2016. He was 87 years old.
Tom was a lifelong resident of Malden. He was a United States Army Veteran during the Korean Conflict and was a longtime employee for the United States Postal Service. Tom graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Horticulture. He also worked for many years at Spadafora Florist in Malden for his family and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity.
Tom was the beloved husband of 55 years to the late Irene (Stepasiuk) Giampietro. He was the son of the late Joseph Giampietro and Josephine (Spadafora) Giampietro. Tom was the devoted father of Kim Giampietro of Malden and Thomas J. Giampietro of Melrose. He is also survived by many cousins.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Monday May 2nd at 8:00a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church 770 Salem Street, Malden at 9:00a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday May 1st from 3-7p.m. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
