Mr. Edmond P. Menard, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and formerly of Taunton, died Monday, April 25 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born 59 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late Edmond and Eloise (Perra) Menard. He was educated in Taunton and was a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston. Edmond was formerly employed as a Contract Negotiator for the Department of Defense. He was an avid reader and loved the ocean.
He leaves: 3 sisters: Cecile Menard and her wife, Judy Cote of Croydon, N.H., Collette Rich and her husband, Bruce of Norton, and Anne Menard and her partner, David Azevedo of Berkley; his loyal and closest friend, Francisco “Paco” Peralta, and his dear friend, Jean McCann also of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in South Carolina. In fulfillment of Edmond’s wishes, his cremains will be scattered to the ocean off Charleston, S.C.
