Obituary

Barbara A. (Mahoney) Puleo, a lifelong resident of Medford, passed away at her home on Monday morning, April 25, 2016. She was 80 years old.
Born in Somerville, on November 14, 1935, she was the beloved daughter of the late Francis and Eileen (Mann) Mahoney. Barbara was a graduate of Medford High School, class of 1953 and a graduate of the Lawrence Memorial School of Nursing, class of 1956. She was employed as a Registered Nurse by Dr. Bernard Logan, for many years. Barbara enjoyed spending time at her summer home in Manomet. She was an avid Red Sox fan. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was the loving mother of Cheryl A. Birch of Plymouth, Debra J. Puleo of Medford and Wendy M. Puleo of Plymouth, sister of Donald Mahoney of Medford and aunt of Pamela Naso, Stephen Scire and Richard Mahoney, all of Medford. Barbara is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and her best pal, Brinkley the Grand-dog. She was also the sister of the late Ellen and Eugene Mahoney.
Her funeral will be held from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Thursday, April 28, 2016, at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, from 3 to 8 PM. Interment will be held in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
