Dorothy Mae (Flanagan) Prunier, 81 of Salem, NH, passed on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard H. Prunier. Dorothy was born in Lawrence, MA on November 5, 1934, the daughter of Dorothy (Hart) Flanagan. Educated in Lawrence schools, she went on to work for Raytheon, Wang Labs and most recently Macy’s in Salem, NH. She worked for Macy’s for over 20 years until her retirement this month. Family and friends were the center of Dorothy’s life. Her bright smile, warm heart, and delicious brownies would brighten everyone’s day.
Dorothy will be deeply missed by her brother James Flanagan and his wife, Patricia of Sandown, NH; her two children, Richard R. Prunier and his wife, Annmarie of Ossipee, NH and Shirrill Cofrin and her husband, George of Concord, NH; 6 grandchildren, Joshua Prunier and his wife Diane Moss, Jacob Prunier and his wife Michelle Frederickson, Justin Prunier and his wife Jessica Cole; Nicole Cofrin, Brendan Cofrin and Timothy Cofrin and his wife Melanie Titus; 3 great grandchildren; Jade, Adam and Silas along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Dorothy was predeceased by her sister Barbara Koza, and her brothers Bill Flanagan, Bob Flanagan and Richard Flanagan.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Dorothy’s life by gathering for calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen on May 1st, 2016 from 1-5 P.M.
