Edward “Thomas” Carlezon, 86 of Methuen, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2016 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
Born in Boston, MA on August 26, 1929, Tom was the son of Edward Julius Carlezon and Mary Ellen (Lynch) Carlezon. Mr. Carlezon attended Boston schools and graduated from Hyde Park High School. Tom proudly served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. Mr. Carlezon served from 1951-1953, where he was stationed in Germany.
After the war, Tom worked at New England Bell as a sales representative for the yellow pages. He retired after 30 years. He loved golfing in his spare time.
Tom was a huge sports fan. He loved watching the New England Patriots, Red Sox and the Bruins.
Tom was the beloved husband of Connie (St. Onge) Lemieux-Carlezon, with whom he shared 18 years of marriage. He was the devoted father of Robert Carlezon and his wife Sara, Richard Carlezon and his wife Amy, Roland Lemieux and his fiancé Dawn Rudis Saraceno, Marie Thibodeau and her husband Norman and Lorna Carlezon. Tom was the dear brother of, William Carlezon and his wife Joyce, Florence Estey and her husband Edward. He was pre-deceased by his two wives Irene Corasanis and Esther Maguder and his sister Mary Carlezon. Tom had 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren which he loved so much.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Tom’s life by gathering for calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 10:00 until 12:00 PM. A funeral service to follow calling hours beginning promptly at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
