Donna M. (DeGaspe) Hill, 66 of Salem, NH, passed on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH, in the presence of her loving family. Donna was born in Lawrence, MA on May 18, 1949, the daughter of George Edward DeGaspe, Jr. and Gloria Agnes (Bretton) DeGaspe. She attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Methuen and graduated from St. Anne’s High School in 1967. She worked as a manager at Park Place Lanes in Windham for over 20 years until her retirement in 2011. Donna loved bowling, playing Bingo, listening to Barry Manilow, cruising with her family to the caribbean, and taking trips to Foxwoods and Las Vegas.
Donna will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Rachel Hill of Salem, NH, and Leslie Hosch and her husband, Braden of Setauket, NY; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Cooper; her mother, Gloria A. DeGaspe of Methuen; three sisters, Barbara DeGaspe of Methuen, Lee Ann Morin and her husband, Ghislain of Methuen, and Darleen DeGaspe of Methuen; her brother, John M. DeGaspe and his wife, Diane of Methuen; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her long-time partner and best friend, Al Harwood.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Donna’s life by gathering for calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 3 - 7 PM. Her funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
