Maria F. Sousa, 57, of Hudson, died on Monday, April 18th at Marlboro Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Antonio L. Sousa and loving mother to Stephanie Sousa of Hudson.
Maria was born in Terceira, Azores daughter of the late Jose M. and Jesuina (Santos) Luz. Maria was a resident of Hudson for 40 years and took great pride in her home and raising her family. She was employed by Four Star Manufacturing in Hudson for the past 6 years as an assembler. Maria enjoyed family trips and most of all visiting and spending time with her family. She took a lot of pride in her cooking and loved making traditional Portuguese foods and desserts. In her spare time she had many hobbies but most of all she enjoyed doing a lot of crocheting. Everyone who knew Maria knew that her favorite color was purple.
Family and friends may attend calling hours on Friday, April 22nd from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com). A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Michael’s Church 21 Manning St. Hudson on Saturday April 23rd at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Hudson.
