In Loving Memory of Robert Alan Grimes, 66, who passed away peacefully at his home in Boston on Tuesday, April 19th, 2016. Born January 7, 1950, in Malden, MA. He was the son of the late George Grimes and the late Lily Ruth (Langille) Grimes of Forest Hills. Robert (Bobby) was a beloved Grandfather, Father, Brother, Son, and Friend. He adored spending time with his 6 grandsons and his children. "Papa" was a lifelong Boston Sports fan, and enjoyed watching the games with his grandsons. He enjoyed encouraging his grandsons in their many sports and academic accomplishments. He was a valued employee at Boston Public Health Commission and Trinity Management Company. His wonderful warmth earned him the admiration and respect of his close friends, co-workers, neighbors and family. Robert was preceded in death by his daughter Suzanne Alysse Grimes, his brother George Grimes. He is survived by his children, his daughters; Diana Grimes (Charlestown, RI) and Danielle Aikens (Walpole, MA), and his sons; Robert Grimes and his wife Angela Adams Grimes (Evansville, IN), and Brian Grimes (Walpole, MA). His Grandchildren; Devin Aikens, Ryan Aikens, Justin Aikens, Griffin Howell, Gavin Grimes, and Owen Aikens, and his Brother and Sister; Ronald Grimes (Rehoboth, MA) and Janet Grimes (Roslindale, MA) and his Sister in Law, Barbara Grimes (Stoughton). He will be forever cherished and missed. A Service will be held on Tuesday, April 26th, at Brady and Fallon Funeral Service, Inc. at 10 Tower St, Jamaica Plain, MA from 4pm until 8pm.
