Edward J. Smith passed away on April 18, 2016. He was 62 years old.
Edward was a resident of Hopkington, New Hampshire. He was born and raised and a longtime resident of Charlestown, MA. Edward worked as an analyst for Mass General Hospital for 25 years and rebuilt computers for the Veterans and homeless shelters and taught them how to use them.
Edward was the devoted husband of 23 years to Linda (Prince) Smith. He was the son of the late William and Margaret (Travers) Smith. Edward was the dear step-father of Alexandria Fehervari and Thomas Fehervari and his wife Trie and their daughter Marina. He was the loving brother of Paula MacDonald and her husband Paul of Mansfield, Marti Joe and her husband Tommy of Byfield, Lawrence Smith of N. Attleborough, and the late Kathleen Hutchins-Davis and William “Buddy” Smith. Cherished uncle of William “Jamie” Hutchins. Ed is also survived by many nieces and nephews and will be missed by many friends and his beloved dog Blizzard.
A service will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday April 21st at 10:00a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday April 20th from 5-9p.m. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
