Obituary

Edward J. Sarno, age 88, of Raynham, formerly of Brockton died peacefully, April 16, 2016 at VA Boston Healthcare in Brockton. Ed was the loving husband for 31 years to the late Mary (Harvey) Sarno. He was born, raised and educated in Boston, son of the late Joseph and Concetta Sarno. He was a WWII and Korean War Veteran. A hard working man, Ed had been employed as a truck driver for the New England Teamsters Union for 25 years. He enjoyed spending time at the dog track and going to the casino.

Ed is survived by his children Edward Sarno and his wife Marie of Las Vegas, Peggy Solari and her husband Fred of South Easton, and Karen Tewksbury and her husband John of Marshfield; nine grandchildren Corey Phinney, Loni, Courtney, Heather and Amber Dwyer, Tammy, John and Stephanie Tewksbury and Alexandra Sarno; and two great grandchildren Mariah Dwyer and Zoey Lanzillotta. His sisters Viola Nalbandian and Flora Dolan and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Al Sarno, Michael Sarno, Catherine Salvucci, Arthur Sarno, Joseph Sarno, and Gloria Antonio.

Visiting hours are in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte.123) Brockton Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 11am.
