Viola D. (Catrabone) Deslauriers, age 91, of Brockton, died peacefully, April 12, 2016. Viola was the loving wife for 71 years of Roland J. Deslauriers. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Theresa (Celia) Catrabone. She attended Brockton schools, and retired from Kings Department Store after many years. Viola was a great cook, avid reader and enjoyed sewing, ceramics, time with her family, and dogs Mitzy and Bella.
She is also survived by two daughters Carol Conley and her husband Ed of Brockton and Jean Sullivan of Hull; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Roland Deslauriers, Jr. and sister of the late Helen, Mary, Lena, Rose, Blanche, James, Joseph and Sam Catrabone.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday 9-11am, followed by a service at 11am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
