Kris H. Bainton age 81 of Canton passed away April 10th at the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton. Born in Boston, he was raised in Canton, graduated from Canton High School and was a Veteran of the United States Army. Kris was inducted into the Canton High School Hall of Fame as a member of the undefeated 1949 football team. He was a member of the Town of Canton Fire Department for many years retiring in 1987. After retirement Kris enjoyed working at his brothers camp ground, Sun River Camp Ground, in New Hampshire every summer. He was a lifelong resident of Canton where he was a member of the Canton Town Club and the American Legion Post #24. Beloved husband of the late Michelle (Glennon). Father of Cynthia M. Bainton of Canton, Michael T. Bainton and his wife Samantha of Stoughton, and Stephen P. Bainton of Canton. Brother of Keith Bainton of N.H. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Tuesday 4-8 pm. Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral service at the funeral home Wednesday morning at 10. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations may be made in his memory to the Canton EMT Assn 99 Revere St. Canton, MA 02021.
