LACONIA - Paul Edward Parvin, 77, of 765 Union Ave, died Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Lakes Region General Hospital after a short illness.
He was born on April 17, 1938 in Rogersville, TN, the son of the late Ernest and Annie Mae (Woods) Parvin. Paul proudly served in the US Air Force. He worked as a tire salesman for 26 years, retiring from Salta Tire in 1986. Paul was an avid Patriots, Boston Red Sox and NASCAR fan and loved golf. He was always known for his wry sense of humor and constant story telling.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the entire staff of LRGH for the heartfelt care Paul received.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lorraine (DeBlois) Parvin of Laconia, two sons; Michael Parvin and his wife Claire of North Providence, RI and Mark Parvin and his wife Darlene Davis-Parvin of Pinellas Park, FL, one grandchild, Curtis Parvin of North Providence, RI, one sister, Louvena Russell of Rogersville, TN, one brother in law, Richard DeBlois of Concord, one sister in law, Beatrice DeBlois of Winnisquam and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Hugh Parvin, J.C. Parvin and Pat Parvin and one sister, Lorretta Seay.
Calling hours will be held from 5PM to 7PM on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Friday, April 15, 2016, also at the funeral home. A calling hour will be held prior from 10AM to 11AM.
Burial will follow in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield St, Laconia.
