Miss Susan F. Childs, 55, of Methuen passed away peacefully in her home Friday April 8, 2016. Born in Haverhill, she spent most of her life in Somerville till she moved to Methuen 10 years ago. Miss Childs worked as a senior administrative assistant for the state of Massachusetts. She enjoyed scrap booking, travel, and writing but most of all loved to spend time with her family. She was pre-deceased by her father Stanley Childs. Miss. Childs is survived by her mother Eleanor (Craig) Childs of Pelham, NH, her long time friend Alan Whooley of S. Boston, five sisters; Debra Gallagher and Petr Karpowicz of Malden, Cynthia and her husband Charles Barker of Merrimack, NH, Kathi Choo of Merrimack, NH, Bonnie and her husband David Griffin of Billerica, and Julie and her husband Scott Faust of Pelham, NH. One brother; Scott Childs and his wife Jayne of Malden, six nieces and nephews; Kerry, Erin, Christopher, Kasey, Dylan, and Hilary, six great nieces and nephews; Ryan, Devin, Brigid, Kayliegh, Maeve, and Cameron. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday April 12, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 6:45 pm at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd, Dracut. A memorial service will be celebrated at 6:45 pm at the funeral home burial will be private.
