Daniel M. Headd, age 44, of Foxboro passed away in the presence of his loving family on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Brigham & Women’s hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Angela (Ferreira) Headd, to whom he was wed on September 15, 2001.
Born in Norwood, MA on September 8, 1971, he was a loving son of the late Martin J. and Lorraine M. (Kamp) Headd.
A longtime resident of Foxboro, Dan grew up in Walpole and was a 1989 graduate of Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High school in Franklin.
For many years, Dan was employed doing landscape construction for the Whitney Landscaping Company in Foxboro as well as other area landscape contractors.
When younger, he along with his family was a communicant of St. Jude’s Church in Norfolk. He loved spending time with family and friends and especially fishing and woodworking.
Affectionately known as “Cheadda”, Dan was a loyal fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Bruins, and along with his brother Kevin, played men’s league hockey. He also had a special place in his heart for “Pete” his dog and “Bandit” his cat.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by dear brothers Timothy P. Headd of Foxboro, Michael S. Headd of Maine and Kevin C. Heayden and his wife Janice of Norton. He will also be sadly missed by his loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 12th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Jude’s Church, Norfolk, 86 Main St., Norfolk.
Visiting hours are omitted and those wishing may remember Dan with a donation in his memory made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston MA 02215.
