Obituary

H. Ray Isbell passed away on April 5, 2016. He was 79 years old.

Ray was born in Birmingham, AL and a longtime resident of Malden. He worked as part of Local 25 for the Teamsters Union for 34 years and another 21 years as an associate at the Home Depot in Somerville, MA. Ray was an avid fisherman and gardener. He will be remembered most for his love of family, friends, and Alabama Football. Roll Tide!

Ray was the devoted husband of the late Anita M. (DeAngelis) Isbell. He was the beloved father of Jodi Colella and her husband Wayne of Somerville, Diane Perito and her husband Richard of Malden, Amy Jean Parker and her husband Mike of Malden, and James Isbell and his wife Gail of Easton, PA. Ray was the dear brother of Bobby Eugene Isbell, Charles Isbell, and Donnie Isbell of Birmingham, AL and the late Chester James Isbell and Jewel Dean Isbell. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren: Meredith, Devon, Joseph, Michael, Daniel, Julia, Jack, Jamie, Anna, Colby, and Ryan.

A service will be held at the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday April 9th at 12:00p.m. Visitation will be held from 10:00a.m.-12:00p.m. prior to the service. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
