Warren E. Ladd, age 79, of West Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton and Easton, died peacefully at his home, Friday, April 1, 2016. Warren was the loving husband for 58 years of Ruth (Preston) Ladd. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late John E. and Elizabeth (O’Neill) Ladd. Warren was a graduate of Brockton High School and had been employed for 33 years at Bird Machine Company in Walpole, retiring in 1999. Devoted to his family, he enjoyed many years of traveling cross country and camping with them. He also enjoyed reading and Do It Yourself projects.
In addition to his wife Ruth, he is survived by his children, Darlene Powers and her husband Daniel of Brockton and James Ladd and his wife Debra Holland of Whitman; 12 grandchildren Cory, Jonathon and Brian Melemed, Mark, Katherine, Sara and Elizabeth Sanders, LJ and Alicia Ladd, Paige and Timmy Holland and Bryan Powers; 3 great grandchildren Lexus and Alyssa Pate and Juliana Melemed; a sister Cheryl Hall of Florida, and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Steven Ladd and brother of the late Carole Lindh and Mary Jane Burbank.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday 4-7pm. A Funeral Service will be held in Christ Congregational Church, Brockton, Friday at 10am. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
