Harriette “Wallie” Huff
Grovetown, GA – Mrs. Harriette Lucile “Wallie” Connell Huff, 88, peacefully passed away at Doctors Hospital on Monday, March 28, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Mr. James Frank Huff.
Mrs. Huff was born Jacksonville, FL but spent most of her life in Augusta before moving to Grovetown. She was an active member of Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church and a former member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church, where she served in many capacities.
Survivors include her daughters: Cecelia Huff Burns and her husband Jimmy of Grovetown, GA and Beverly Huff Thompson and her husband Mike of Grovetown, GA; grandchildren: Cody Franklin Burns, Taylor Nicole Thompson and Sarah Kathryn Thompson; sisters: Annette C. Bryan and Sally C. Hamilton ; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Huff was preceded in death by her mother: Lottie Duncan Connell; her father: Norton Henry Connell; and her siblings: Charles Kenneth Connell, Marjorie Connell Conoly and Jack Eldred Connell.
A funeral service will be Thursday, March 31, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Eddie Bradford officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church, 5555 Hereford Farm Road, Evans, GA 30809.
