LACONIA - David Henry Burbank, 80, of 30 County Drive, a longtime resident of both Gilford and Laconia, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Belknap County Nursing Home.
He was born on November 16, 1935 in Laconia, the son of the late Irvin B. and Lenora (Hartford) Burbank. David worked for 30 years at Belknap County Nursing Home. He also worked at the Laconia State School and Laconia Needle Factory. He enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.
He is survived by his son, Craig A. Burbank of Laconia, two daughters; Carolee Sliker and her husband Thor of Laconia and Laurie Burbank and her fiancé Michael Wajda of Franklin, two brothers; John Burbank and his wife Elsie of Laconia and Arthur Burbank and his wife Jeanne of Laconia, one sister, Judith Hook and her husband Ronald of Gilmanton, five grandchildren; Shanan O'Hara, Brandon O'Hara, Steven DeRoche, Aiden Sliker and Libby Sliker and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his wife, Wanda (Higgins) Burbank in 2006.
Calling hours will be held from 10AM to 12 Noon on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
Graveside services will be held at 1Pm on Saturday, April 2, 2016 in the family lot at Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia.
