Obituary

BREWSTER, Timothy Allen - Rockstar husband of Dawn Minnich Brewster and daddy extraordinaire to Reese Annsley Brewster and Kailei (Kiki) Brewster passed away suddenly on March 19, 2016 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. He was a resident of Needham, MA and formerly from Wellesley, MA.

He was the life of the party, generous, kind, goofy, and friendly beyond measure. The Dos Equis guy would be his wingman. To know him was to love him. He felt like your best friend whether you knew him for 20 years or 20 minutes. His positivity and zest for life were infectious.

In addition to his loving wife and daughters he is survived by his mother Maureen Lamothe O’Toole of Jewett City, CT; father Paul Brewster, Sr of New Seabury, MA; brother Paul (Sara) Brewster, Jr of East Longmeadow, MA; brother Scott Brewster of Jewett City, CT; brother Brendan Brewster of Malden, MA; sister-in-law Lisa (Jesse) Keim of Tower City, PA; and sister-in-law Ann Null of Williamstown, PA. He was honored to be godfather to Jakob Rioux of Franklin, MA, Torin Riley of Fort Polk, LA, and Warner Hardin of Austin, TX. He was proud ‘Uncle Timmy’ to Teagan, Hayden, Connor, Celia, Chloe, Jenny, Ethan, and Alec. Tim was predeceased by his grandparents Arthur and Lillian Boisvert Lamothe, Simon and Laura Sadowski Brewster, and brother Justin Brewster.

The world became brighter when he was born on August 16, 1967 in Norwich, CT. He was a 1985 graduate of Griswold High School in Griswold, CT. He played basketball and baseball and was named Griswold High’s scholar athlete. He graduated as his class salutatorian. So not just a pretty face. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology and a Master of Science degree in physical therapy from Boston University.

A true entrepreneur he landed his first job slinging newspapers from his Huffy at age 10. He recognized the power of supply and demand and sold gum to his classmates at a premium. He combined his entrepreneurial spirit, education, work ethic, and tireless energy and founded Train Boston Sports Center and Train Boston Physical Therapy in Wellesley, MA. His vision was to create the elite sports training facility in greater Boston staffed with highest caliber therapists, trainers, and operations. It was a labor of love, his first baby, and he loved doing it. Not only did he reach his goals, it became something even greater. He surrounded himself with the best of the best. His co-workers, clients, and business associates became family. He loved, supported, pushed, and elevated them to become their best selves. And vice versa. It was more than an LLC. It was family.

A celebration of Tim’s life will be held Saturday, April 2, at 10:00am at New England Chapel – 40 Kenwood Circle, Franklin MA 02038. Relatives and friends kindly invited.

An athletic scholarship fund has been created in Tim’s memory to continue his love for life and desire to help others. The Tim Brewster Scholarship Award will carry his legacy to many other children for years to come. More information can be found on www.gofundme.com/timbrewster.
