Irene A. (Levesque) Piliponis. 92, of Lawrence passed peacefully on March 22, 2016 at Mary Immaculate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Lawrence on September 24, 1923 to Joseph and Mary (Ouellette) Levesque. Mrs. Piliponis had been an area resident all her life. She was retired from Western Electric / Lucent Technologies. Mrs. Piliponis was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, St. Theresa Church. She enjoyed musicals, arts and crafts, gardening and loved to spend time with her family. She was a devoted wife to her late husband Joseph Piliponis. Mrs. Piliponis was also pre-deceased by her brothers; Arthur, Emile, Edmund, Raymond and Gerard, sisters; Jeannette, Pauline, Cecile and Aurore, and her daughter Janice’s long time companion and family friend Daniel Martin. Mrs. Piliponis is survived by two daughters; Doreen and her husband Jack Roberts of Jamestown, NC, and Janice Piliponis of Methuen. One son; Dennis Piliponis and his wife Carole of Methuen, four grandchildren; Elizabeth and her husband Caleb Kennedy of Jamestown, NC, Jeffrey Roberts of Jamestown, NC, Nicole Piliponis of Manchester, NH, and Nathan Piliponis of Salem, NH. One great-granddaughter; Carly Roberts of Jamestown, NC, two sisters Blanche Grasello and Marie Barry and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass for Mrs. Piliponis on Tuesday March 29, 2016 at 9:00 am at St. Theresa Church, 22 Plymouth St. Methuen. Burial will be private.
