Obituary

George A. Aliberti Sr., 79, of Lawrence died Monday March 21, 2016 at Lawrence General Hospital. Born in Lawrence on February 20, 1937 to Antonio and Cira (Marsala) Aliberti, he had been an area resident all his life. Mr. Aliberti is a retired employee of Merrimack Paper. He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and the St. Alfio Society. Mr. Aliberti looked forward to two events every year, the Feast of the Three Saint and the Celtic Woman concert. He enjoyed his breakfast at Carleen’s coffee shop and loved to spend time with his Grandchildren. The widower of Nancy (Willette) Aliberti he was also pre-deceased by his son George Aliberti Jr. Mr. Aliberti is survived by three daughters; Marion and her husband Jason Grochmal of Pepperell, Sabrina Aliberti and her fiancé James Corneau of Methuen, and Guilia Aliberti of Lowell. Two sons; Peter Aliberti and his wife Dianna of Sandown, NH, and Robert Aliberti and his wife Aimee of Derry, NH. Three sisters Maria Aliberti of Methuen, Martha Desjardins of Salem, NH, and Camella Baker of Texas. Two brothers; Richard Aliberti of Salem, NH and Michael Aliberti of Athol. There are 9 grandchildren, 1 great grand-daughter and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd., Dracut.
