Mrs. Susan G. (Euzukonis) Poverchuk, a lifelong resident of Medford and beloved wife of John M. Poverchuk, passed away at her home on Saturday evening, March 19, 2016. She was 64 years old.
Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, on February 28, 1952, she was the beloved daughter of the late George A. and Helen Euzukonis. Mrs. Poverchuk was a graduate of Medford High School, class of 1970. She enjoyed gardening around her home, bird watching and going to the beach. She also enjoyed traveling with her beloved husband, John and her family. She was happiest surrounded by her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Besides her husband John, She is survived by her loving children; Jennifer L. and her husband Neil J. Huntley of Medford, Amanda E. Poverchuk and her husband Mark T. Pitta of East Bridgewater and Alex J. Poverchuk and his longtime companion Natalie J. Paine of Salem, brother; George S. Euzukonis of Medford and granddaughter; Amanda Ray P. Huntley of Medford.
Her funeral service will be celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at 11 am. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be privately held. Donations in Susan’s memory may be made to the World Wildlife Fund, worldwildlife.org.
