Obituary

Auburn, MA - Madeline M. Johnson, 86, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 in the Lutheran Home. She leaves her daughter, Marlene M. Johnson of Oxford; three grandchildren Jonathan Olson and his wife Nicole of Putnam, CT; Keith Conway of Oxford and Bonnie Desrosiers of Webster; three great grandchildren; Jillian, Ahlanna and Jacob; two sisters Ethel N. Glidden of Auburn and Barbara G. Smith of Boylston; two brothers Stanley R. Johnson and his wife Priscilla of Oxford and Warren R. Johnson of Phoenix, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves a dear friend Penny Hunt of Worcester.

Madeline was born in Worcester on September 17, 1929, daughter of the late Carl L. and Mary Etta (Parmenter) Johnson. She worked over 25 years as a Lead Inspector for Micro Networks. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed bowling, crafts, playing cards, scrabble and cribbage.

Madeline’s family would like to thank the staff at Accord Adult Day Care Center of Webster, MA for their care and support. They would also like to thank the staff at the Lutheran Home and Hospice for their compassionate care and concern.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 10, 2016, at 11:00am in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. Burial will follow in the Howard St. Cemetery in Northborough. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday March 9, 2016 from 5pm-7pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Madeline’s memory to the Trininty Lutheran Church 73 Lancaster St. Worcester 01609 or to the Alzheimer’s Association 80 Pleasant St. Watertown, MA 02472.
