GILFORD - Annie Ellen McAuliffe, 88, of 20 Bedford Ave, died Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Belknap County Nursing Home in Laconia.
She was born on October 25, 1927 in Bartlett, the daughter of the late Pearlon R. and Beatrice A. (Aldridge) Butterfield. She was a former longtime member of the Evangelical Baptist Church in Laconia. Annie enjoyed traveling both by rail and in her RV, knitting and cooking for those in need.
She is survived by one son, John T. McAuliffe and his wife Elaine C. of Alton, two daughters; Marsha E. MacNeil and her husband Harry of Hampton and Joan L. Chagnon and her husband Brit of Londonderry, six grandchildren; Miles, Lauren, Marc and Jake Chagnon and John R. and Kyle B. McAuliffe, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John R. McAuliffe in 2015.
Calling hours will be held from 4Pm to 6:30Pm on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7Pm, also at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 11Am on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
