Schaneque E. Barrows-Murphy departed this life February 20,2016 at 5:24pm. Schaneque was born September 6th 1975 to her proud parents, William (Lymont) and Gloria (Mickey) Alexander.
Schaneque graduated from Brighton High School and continued her education at R.C.C. and received her degree in Biotechnology and Microbiology. She wanted to further herself and was working toward getting her PhD in Clinical Psychology at UMass Boston. Shaneque worked as a counselor for the Jewish Family and Children Services in Walpole.
Schaneque loved to entertain and dance. The girl was a real Diva especially when it comes to her hair and shoes. One of her many ambitions were to make a contribution to the research and cure for cancer. She was very passionate in finding a cure for cancer. She was against bullying, a champion for the underdog and the disadvantaged. She pursued all her beliefs with a passion.
Schaneque is survived by her husband Ralph (troubles) Murphy, Parents Lymont & Mickey, two children Rahshaun & Schanya, Grandmother Arlene Perry of N.C, One sister Tonya, 1 nephew Tairon, 2 aunts Mary, Janice Barrows, 6 uncles David, Dana, Dennis, Daniel Barrows, Reginal Preston & Calivtor Alexander. In laws Ralph & Charlotte Murphy, 2 sister in laws Renee, Asha, 2 brothers in law Bobby and JoJo, Godfather Rebel, Also her partner in crime Marlysha Barrows, Bff Ebonee Morris and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews other loving relatives and caring friends. She was preceded in death by grandmother Mary E. Barrows & two Aunts Joanne and Marion Barrows.
Visiting hours and services on Friday February 26, 2016 from 2-4 PM, in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale. Interment will be Private.
