Gilford------Carol Marie Martine 73, of Belknap Mountain Road, died at her home, Monday, February 15, 2016 with her loving family by her side.
Carol was born October 12, 1942 in Malden, MA, daughter to the late Yngvar "Joe" and Dorothy (Mangini) Torp. She dedicated over 37 years to her greatest passion: teaching children at Gilford Elementary School to be confident, curious, and creative. Carol also enjoyed spending time with family and friends hiking, traveling, gardening, painting, and kayaking. She loved nature and animals, and shared her sense of humor and laughter with everyone around her.
Carol is survived by her son, Greg Martine of Laconia; her daughter Kristen Martine of Portland, Oregon; a sister Sandra Stafford and her husband Carroll of Laconia; her niece, Holly Dillon; and two nephews, Jim and Scott Stafford.
No memorial services will be held.
