Jeanette E. (Herne) Kelloway Greene, age 90, of North Andover passed away on February 16, at Greystone Farms in Salem surrounded by her loved ones. Jeanette was born on December 18, 1925 in Everett.
Jeanette was the beloved wife of the late William C. Kelloway with whom she shared 41 years of marriage, and, following the passing of William, was the cherished wife of the late Albert (“Herb”) Greene with whom she shared 10 years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Donald (Ethel) Kelloway of Methuen, William (Marlene Hurley) Kelloway of Windham, NH, Gary (Janet) Kelloway of Alton, NH, Scott (Gayle) Kelloway of Andover, Lisa Kelloway (Dave) Madden of Washington DC. She was also the beloved step-mother of Gerry Cicchetti of Amesbury, Jack Goshtigian of Cambridge, Kathy (Dave) Spaulding of Abington, Gayle Greene of Grovetown, and Paul Greene of Weymouth. Jeanette was the dear sister of the late Chester Herne, late Evelyn (Herne) Froburg, and the late Virginia (Herne) Bartlett, her identical twin. Jeanette was the loving grandmother of many and the wonderful great grandmother of several. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Jeanette’s devoted caregiver and friend, Helen, for her compassion, friendship, good humor, and skilled assistance, as well as all the staff at Greystone Farms for making Jeanette’s final years peaceful and comfortable.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 23rd, at 10 am at Trinitarian Congregational Church at 72 Elm Street in North Andover, Massachusetts, with a reception to follow immediately at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen Street, 2nd floor, Framingham, MA 01701. Guests are kindly asked to meet directly at the church.
