Passed away on 2-9-2016 at the age of 68 after a 6 month battle with Melanoma. Graduate of Concordia Academy, Concordia College, Moorhead, served in the Army during the Vietnam War, & an avid sports fan. Preceded in death by father, Robert. Survived by loving mother, Joyce; sister, Nancy (John) Elert; nieces, Amy (Roger) Matza, Allison (Casey) Engelke; nephew, Eric (Andrea) Elert; grandnieces & grandnephew, Ava, Alec & Gianna; beloved aunt & uncle, Jim & Janet Long. Funeral service Wednesday (2/17) 11:00 AM at GETHSEMANE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2410 Stillwater Rd. E, Maplewood, with visitation one hour prior. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
