M. Lea Robida, 91, of New Bedford died February 9, 2016 at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home.
She was the wife of the late Leo E. Robida.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late André and Leonie (Gaudet) Arsenault, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Robida was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in New Bedford.
She was a member of the Acadian Cultural Genealogy Society, the American Canadian Association, the St. Anthony's Seniors and a member and vice president of the Catholic Guild for the Blind.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Janine Zagol, and her husband Edward, of Plymouth, Louise Waltz, and her husband Peter, of Bristol, NH and Denise Lefebvre, and her husband Dr. Paul Lefebvre, of Tiverton, RI; 2 brothers, J. René "Archie" Arsenault of New Bedford and J. Hervé Arsenault of Pompano Beach, FL; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Gerard "Gerry" Arsenault, J. Emile Arsenault, J. Tilmon "Timmy" Arsenault, Armand Arsenault, J. Ernest Arsenault, J. Leo Arsenault, J. Henri Arsenault, J. Roger Arsenault, Germaine "Ginger" Giroux and Bertha "Betty" Marcotte.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 13th at 9:30 AM St. Mary's Church, New Bedford. Her family will receive guests on Saturday morning from 8:30 - 9 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford prior to her Funeral Mass.
