FALL RIVER – Normanda “Norma” P. (Camara) Santos, age 52 of Fall River, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016 at RI Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Fernando Santos and the daughter of Normanda (Pereira) & the late Manuel V. Camara. Norma was a Co-Owner of T.A.’s Restaurant with her husband, worked for the MA Dept. of Workforce & Development and formerly for Traveler’s Insurance Co. and Aetna Insurance Co.
She was a parishioner & CCD teacher of Santo Christo Church, a member of the Banda Filarmonica Santa Cecilia, and a musician with the former Acoreana Band Club, the founder of Sociedade Cultural Acoriana, & the founder of “Team Hope”.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her son: Jacob Santos of Fall River; siblings: Peter Camara of Fall River, Christopher Camara of Westport , and Celeste Franca of Fall River; several nieces & nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday, Feb. 12, 2016 at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Santo Christo Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
