Richard Whitehead Shepherd, 72, of Needham, passed away peacefully on February 3rd. He was the son of the late Henry and Marjorie Shepherd, formerly of Yarmouth, Maine. He is survived by his brother, Henry and wife Joyce of Westwood, niece Julie Emery of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and Andrew Shepherd of Glendora, California. He is also survived by cousins Howard Whitehead of Topsfield and Nancy Dowling of Augusta, Maine.
Mr. Shepherd graduated from Culver Stockton College in Canton, Missouri, as well as from Northeastern in Boston. He is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel, 150 Brown Street, off Rt. 30, in Weston, on Saturday, February 13 at 11am. Interment will be in Saco, Maine, at a later date.
