Obituary

DOSDALL, Marijane Carvelli Of Wellesley formerly of Dover, died peacefully on Feb 7, 2016, at the age of 86 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born on December 31, 1929 to Hazel and Nicholas Carvelli in Minneapolis, MN. She married Chester “Chet” Dosdall on June 10, 1950 and they were married 60 years at the time of his death in 2010. Marijane and Chet moved from St. Paul, MN to Wellesley, MA, in 1956 where they raised their four children. The couple moved to Dover, MA in 1985 where they lived until moving back to Wellesley in 2007.

Marijane made friends everywhere she went due to her talkative nature, sense of humor, and energetic spirit. Marijane spent countless hours volunteering at numerous organizations, and was especially able to share her light through her culinary gifts, which were enjoyed by her family, friends, neighbors, and innumerable strangers. Marijane was an active member of the Church of Most Precious Blood in Dover, MA, and was honored in 2012 by the Archdiocese of Boston with the Cheverus Award for her joyful demonstration of the motto “Let us Love One Another.”

She is survived by her four children and their spouses: Jeff Dosdall and his wife Cheryl of Wellesley, MA, Mary Blake and her husband Will of Holliston, MA, Nancy Lauro and her husband Phil of Durango, CO and Jane Garbose and her husband Dave of Charlotte, VT. She will especially be missed by her nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren: Andy and Laura Dosdall and their children Everleigh and Shane, Laura Dosdall; Greg, Daniel, Teresa and Molly Blake; Marybeth and Danni Lauro; Leo Garbose. She is also survived by her younger brother, Nick Carvelli of Broomfield, Colorado.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16) WELLESLEY, Friday, Feb. 12 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in The Church of the Most Precious Blood, Dover at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home, Thursday, Feb. 11 from 4-8pm. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451 in memory of Marijane Dosdall, or that her memory be honored by sharing homemade baked goods with someone who would appreciate them.
