E. "Laverne" (Woods) Davis,83, of Anderson went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2016 at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton.
She was born May 22, 1932 in Sheep Ridge, Tennessee, to Royce and Pauline (Ward) Woods.
She was a homemaker and a member of New Beginnings Church in Anderson.
She is survived by her daughter, Diana (Pastor Gary) Marcum of Anderson; sisters, Betty (Arden) Banks of Missouri and Catherine Bilyeu of Texas; sister-in-law, Patty Woods of Missouri; two grandsons, Greg (Brandi) Marcum of Tennessee and Jason (Doris) Marcum of Anderson; four great grandchildren, Kelsey and Brendan Marcum and John and Lydia Marcum; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hulon Davis; sister, Doris McGuire and brother, Hubert "Jr." Woods.
Services will be Friday, February 12, 2016 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastors Mike Barker and Gary Marcum officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from noon until the service at 2 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association or Leukemia Society.
