Harry P. Romano

Harry P. Romano, 86, of Stoneham died on Sunday, February 7, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center of Burlington. Born in Candida, Italy, in 1929, he was the son of the late Joseph and Assunta (Polcari) Romano. Harry came to the U.S. in his teens, living first in Arlington, then in Somerville and Medford, before settling in Stoneham 40 years ago. He and his beloved wife of 66 years, Pauline (Ciampa) Romano, spent winters in Naples, Florida.

Harry was the devoted father of Joanne Catanzano and her husband Philip of Wakefield, Joseph Romano and his wife Carol of Burlington, Paula Romano of Stoneham, Harry E. Romano and his wife Maria of Medford, James M. Romano and his wife Heather of Westford. He was the loving grandfather of Philip and Christopher Catanzano, Christina and Joseph Romano Jr., Sheila and Dennis Doherty, Elizabeth and Nicholas Romano, Ella and Matty Romano, and the loving great grandfather of Philip Cooke, Larza and Sava Catanzano, Devin, Shyalin and Bailey Doherty, Emily and Kylie Dineen. Harry was the brother of the late Vincent and Joseph Romano.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Friday, February 12 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday, February 11, from 3 through 7 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
