Agnes McClean
2/7/2016

Agnes J. “Aggie” (DiRuscio) McClean, formerly of Harwich and Framingham, born March 19, 1932 and entered into eternal rest February 7, 2016. Cherished daughter of Anna and Frank DiRuscio, the eighth of their nine children. Aggie graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke School in 1950, and worked as an executive secretary until her marriage to J. Donald McClean in 1981. They shared 33 years of marriage, and the joy of Don’s three children, six grandchildren, and great-grandson. Aggie loved growing up in a large Italian family. Her mother (Noni) and father (Pa), six sisters and two brothers brought joy and endless precious memories into her life. “Pa” was a practical Jokester, Aggies friends loved hearing her tell stories of her father. Noni, who also had a comical comeback to “Pa’s” stories, was known for her cooking. Wonderful homemade pastas, sauces and cookies filled the home with delicious aromas. Holidays at the DiRuscio home were best. Frank and Anna DiRuscio were both respected and loved by everyone. She enjoyed watching the New England Patriots, especially Tom Brady, Downton Abbey, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy. Aggie battled breast cancer for the past ten years with courage and strength that inspired her friends and family. She had a loving, giving nature, and donated generously to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Wounded Warrior Project, and St. Jude’s Hospital for Children. She is predeceased by her parents, Anna and Frank DiRuscio, her siblings Mary Goldblatt, Cecelia Shifres, Rita Guinta, Madeline DelGreco, Rose Stone, and Dominic DiRuscio, and her devoted husband J. Donald McClean. Aggie is survived by her loving siblings, Camille “Connie” Sette of Canton and John DiRuscio and his wife Pat of Natick, her adoring nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, her three step children, Kathleen and husband Felix, Scott and wife Jackie, and Mark, six grandchildren, a great grandson and dear friends Ann, Tina and Tootsie. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday morning at 10 am and all will process to the Chapel at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton for a service at 11 am.
